Blueberry Lavender Hard Lemonade

Blueberry Lavender Hard Lemonade.jpgKeeping with the July awareness of Blueberries… here’s true blue zip in your fizz with this refreshing summer drink. Giving two options to create this lovely concoction. I will state for the obvious I prefer my blueberry lavender hard lemonade with essential oils and stoli vodka. Its so yummy. Enjoy!

Recipe type: Essential Oil Summer Drinks
Cuisine: GF Paleo Friendly
Serves: 1
  • 15 Blueberries
  • 2-3 drops of doTERRA lemon essential oil
  • 1-2 drops of doTERRA lavender essential oil
  • ½ teaspoon agave nectar (or more to taste)
  • 1½ ounces vodka ( I used Stoli's) or gin (Hendrick's suggested)
  • 3 sprigs of fresh lavender for garnish
  • 1 slice of lemon for garish
  • ⅔ cup of lavender tea (see instructions)
  • Ice
  1. In a mixing glass, thoroughly muddle the sprigs of lavender with the blueberries. Add the essential oils, add agave nectar and vodka or gin.
  2. Add ⅔ cup of cold water (more or less to taste). Use a fork to whisk the agave nectar into the rest of the liquid.
  3. Fill your glass with ice, and stir with a spoon.
  4. If using dried lavender, you'll need to make your lavender tea in advance so it has time to cool.
  5. To make the tea, add one to two teaspoons of dried lavender per cup of hot water. Let steep for about five minutes, and strain out the lavender. Let Cool.
  6. In a mixing glass, muddle 15 blueberries. Use a fork to whisk the agave nectar into the rest of the liquid.
  7. Add up to ¾ cup of tea to your drink. Taste it as you go and feel free to dilute it with water if you find it the lavender taste is too strong. Fill your glass with ice, and stir up your lemonade with a spoon.
  8. Please taste your lemonade as you go and adjust accordingly. I prefer tart to sweet, so ½ teaspoon of agave was plenty for me, but feel free to add more.
